Indoor moisture has many sources: plants, pets, people, ground water, and most importantly, infiltration from outside air. This moisture in the air is constantly trying to equalize throughout your house. Dehumidifiers remove this humidity. Since moisture is one of the critical requirements for mold growth, using a dehumidifier will greatly cut down on the dust mites, mold, and other allergens in the air. In addition, homes that maintain lower relative humidities are more comfortable and require less cooling.
