It is necessary when removing warm moist air (especially with the slower moving Panasonic Super-Quiet fans) to have a direct connection between the fan and the outside so that damp air does not exit into the attic or insulation.

Ductwork connects to the exhaust on the fan. If your fan does not have a backdraft damper to keep outside air from coming in, use one of our well made butterfly dampers. Then, exit through the wall or roof using the appropriate exterior vent. If two fans are to exit through one vent, use the Y-fitting to connect the ducts. Our Hush Grill is used in cases where a fan is situated in a remote location (Click on Wall and Remote Mount Fans on the left hand sidebar to view these fans).
